VENTURA COMMUNITY CENTER & TORNADO SAFE ROOM

The facility is a center for community activities and senior
luncheons, as well as rented to the public for wedding
receptions, community organization meetings, and other
events. A wood plane slices through the building, creating
an exterior canopy over the entrance and a lower, more
intimate, ceiling for the small meeting room. Adjacent to the
meeting room is a large community room and a full-service
kitchen that is accessible to both rooms. The facility was
partially funded by FEMA.
