Members of a private committee to design a new animal shelter in the City
of Jefferson reached out to ATURA to achieve their goals. This facility would act as the county’s only animal
control facility. With a similar program and systems as past
designs, this facility would include 13 kennels, 56 cat condos,
multi-purpose meet and greet room, reception, grooming
room, secure law enforcement drop off, cat & dog isolation
rooms, and six-acre large & small dog park. The land has been
secured and fundraising has started.
